In
order to fulfill Alabama Real Estate Investor Association’s
commitment ( AIA Club) to educate our members, we are presenting the
second National REIA’s PHP Designation Program (Professional
Housing Provider) with an added dimension of mentoring by our
members who have experience in the real estate investor business.
The goal of this program is to help the new & old real estate
investor gain the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to
proceed through a project from the beginning where a determination
is made if the property will meet his investment goals, through
purchase, renovation (if necessary), and either selling or holding
for their rental portfolio.
The goal is to get the student who wants to, into at least
one deal, so that they are plugged into the house investing
business.
What we are offering:

Sixty hours of real estate education that pertains specifically to
the real estate investor business.
Classes consist of 3 hour sessions which will meet once a
week for 20 weeks.

If you miss a class, or for some reason you can’t attend on the
chosen night, you will be provided with a DVD of the class session
so that you will not only gain the knowledge, you will still
progress towards your goal.
A 30-minute work session will be held live before each
monthly meeting in order to go over the classes from the prior
month. This will not
only let you get questions answered by the experts, it will let you
learn from the experiences of your fellow classmates.

Each student will be able to get access to a mentor or mentors that
are fellow members of the association.
These mentors will be available for a lunch meeting once a
month (the student picks up the tab) to go over the student’s goals
and help review deals that he/she may come across.
Phone calls to mentors are also encouraged, but they should
be limited to once a week unless the mentor agrees to more.
*** A
recently added feature is that Chris McClatchey-Creative Financing,
who spoke at the September meeting, is offering a twice-a-month
group call with his coaching group for free to PHP! He is on
every call and you will be able to participate.
Please be aware that this is not an intensive coaching program
where the coach takes you by the hand and assists you with every
step of the buying/renovation/selling process. In fact, to our
knowledge no coaching program offers this, but only advises as your
mentor will!
After
fulfilling the requirements of the program, you will receive the PHP
Designation from National REIA with an accompanying certificate, pin
and the permission to use the designation in your advertising.
The designation indicates that you have taken the time to
educate yourself in terms of construction, law, management,
marketing, landlording etc. and this can set you apart from the
typical investor not only in terms of an actual set of skills, but
also in the public’s & judge's perception.
The
cost for this comprehensive program is $897 (non AIA members pay

will most likely be Tuesday or Thursday and the site will be the
most condusive to the group- such as Vestavia etc.
